“Wilderness is not a luxury, but a necessity of the human spirit.”— Edward Abbey
Being out in nature is my source of strength and inspiration. I am drawn to the drama of shadows and light, patterns and texture in nature. Capturing these elements is both a challenge and a joy. The watercolor landscapes in this series are drawn on site, during my travels throughout the American West. The natural places that still exist today are at risk of being destroyed and taken away. I hope you enjoy viewing my work and that it heightens your love and respect for these beautiful places.
“We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.”
— Aldo Leopold
