Susan’s reverence and passion for the natural world is communicated through her love of color, texture, and responsive line.  Painting with dye on silk, she uses gutta, a natural latex, as a linear resist to contain the dyes from wicking to other areasn. Her studio is part of the 17th Ave. Studios complex in Live Oak.  She was an Open Studio artist in 2014. She won honorable mention for “Morning LIght” in 2008 at the Santa Cruz Mountain Art Center.
